After the whole Fred Larry incident we got a call from a lady down the road who goes to our church. The have a little cottage (pictured above) that just became available. After a quick tour we knew it was the right place. It is cozy and cute and set back in the trees with beautiful views out the kitchen window. It has a front room, kitchen/dining area, laundry room, loft, bathroom and bedroom. AND a back patio. We will be moving in toward the end of May and I can't wait!

When we moved from Hawaii we sold everything we owned so it will be interesting getting stuff again.... dishes, pots, pans, sheets.... the whole nine yards. So I might need a little advice on whats good out there.

I so am excited for our new little cottage :)

  2. Congrats on finding a place to live! It's cute. Best of luck getting everything, we just did that a few months ago! But it's a lot of fun. I don't know how fancy you are wanting to go, but if you aren't too picky on pots, pans, etc, even just letting your ward and friends know that you're moving and starting anew, you'd be totally surprised how many people are willing to help and might have some extra dishes, utensils, pots, etc. For furniture...we did ikea and love it, or check out local ads/newspapers for maybe any furniture stores going out of business, furniture warehouses, or great deals.

    Good luck!

  3. Oh and one more thing...you probably already know this, but too some furniture stores if you get like the whole bedroom set, or living room set, etc, they'll give you a deal, instead of just buying one thing from them (if you like everything they offer) I dunno your style but I LOVE microfiber, and it's really easy to clean up (I didn't end up getting it, but the ikea furniture you can take the covers off and wash them too)

ok sorry, enough of that :)

  5. Yea I'm so happy it worked out! I saw the inside and it's decorated really cute so that's a plus. Honestly you know us, we get everything at garage sales and craigs list. Keep you eyes open and you'll find some good finds.
